About

Jesse Ervin is a hairstylist specializing in cutting and colour, with a particular love for scissor and razor short haircuts. His work is guided by shape, texture and movement, with a preference for natural finishes and hair that feels modern, individual and easy to wear.

Jesse’s career has included work across New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, with shows including Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Rick Owens, Vetements and Boss. His editorial and advertising work has included clients such as Arc’teryx, Aritzia, Nike, Lululemon and L’Oréal, with work published internationally. He is represented in Toronto and Vancouver for advertising, editorial and men’s grooming work.

In the studio, Jesse brings that same eye for shape and detail into a more personal setting. He works one-on-one with each client, with an approach that is collaborative, intuitive and tailored to the person in the chair.

The Studio

Butter is Jesse’s private one-chair studio in Britannia Beach, just south of Squamish. The space is quiet, personal and intentionally simple, with every appointment booked one-on-one.

The studio was created as an alternative to the pace of a traditional salon — a more focused setting for thoughtful hair and a personal experience from start to finish.
